today with Emajo
We welcome referrals from probation officers, prison staff, social workers, and other professionals working in criminal justice and resettlement.
For Referring Professionals
A straightforward, responsive referral process
We know that housing timelines matter — particularly for people approaching release dates. We aim to respond to all referrals within 3 working days and will communicate clearly about availability and suitability at every stage.
Initial contact
Contact us by phone or email to discuss a potential referral. We will ask for a brief overview of the individual's situation — including their release date, risk level, and any known support needs — to assess whether we are a good fit.
Referral form & assessment
If we believe we can help, we will ask you to complete our referral form and share relevant documentation (OASys or equivalent, licence conditions where applicable). We will carry out an assessment, which may include a meeting with the individual.
Offer of placement
Where a placement is appropriate and a space is available, we will make a formal offer and confirm move-in arrangements. We work to ensure housing is in place on or before the date of release wherever possible.
Ongoing liaison
Once a resident is in place, we maintain regular communication with the referring agency in line with agreed information-sharing protocols. We will flag any significant concerns in line with our safeguarding and public protection responsibilities.

For Commissioners & Funders
Partnering with Emajo
We are actively seeking commissioning relationships with probation regions, local authorities, and housing associations who share our commitment to reducing reoffending through stable accommodation.
As a CIC, we offer commissioners the transparency and accountability of a regulated social enterprise — alongside the flexibility and responsiveness of a smaller specialist provider.
We are happy to discuss spot purchase arrangements, block contracts, or grant-funded partnerships. If you would like to explore what working with us might look like, please get in touch.
What commissioners can expect from us:
- Transparent reporting on outcomes and occupancy
- Compliance with relevant safeguarding and public protection frameworks
- Named point of contact for your team
- A service model grounded in evidence on what reduces reoffending
- Annual CIC report and accounts publicly available at Companies House
